Truck driver claims Colorado's largest Powerball jackpot ever

The winner of last week's USD$90 million Powerball jackpot has finally come forward after spending a week convincing himself the win was real. Claude, a tow truck driver from a small western Colorado city, said he woke up on Sunday to a screaming wife holding the winning lotto ticket, but believed he was still dreaming.

His wife and daughter had purchased the Quickpick ticket from a local convenience store - a regular twice-weekly punt which had never resulted in more than a few dollars in prize money. The family jokingly said they now had "a whole lot of new friends" in their hometown.

The winner's mother said the family was 'thrilled to death" but her son would likely continue to work in an effort to live a normal life, despite the once-in-a-lifetime windfall. The couple have no immediate plans beyond travelling and taking a "real second honeymoon" to celebrate 33 years of marriage.

The owner of the store which sold the winning ticket recieved USD$50,000 commission from Colorado Lotteries.
