Supersized Superdraw winners | Queensland

Australia truly is the lucky country! Every state except Tasmania had a Division 1 winner in the weekend’s $21,000,000 Superdraw. The latest installment of the supersized Saturday Lotto draw, held roughly every six weeks, saw thirteen lucky punters walk away with $1.6 million in prize money.

There were three Queensland Superdraw winners, three Victorian winners, three Western Australian winners, two South Australian winners, and one winner each from New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

The first winner from the Sunshine State was an Oakey woman who “just couldn’t believe what she was seeing”. After checking her 12-game Quickpick to find it matched the winning six numbers, she had to check it again and again because it all seemed too unreal.

“It might start to sink in over the next few days”, said the woman. After celebrating with a special dinner, the first thing she intended to do with her prize money was help her daughter build a dream home.

The second Queenslander to become a millionaire in the Superdraw was located in the north Brisbane suburb of Keperra. The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, purchased their winning ticket from a local newsagency.

The third Queensland winner, who also wishes to remain completely anonymous, purchased their System 8 ticket from a local newsagency in Marsden, a southside Brisbane suburb.

The winning numbers from Saturday Lotto draw 3515 on Saturday 28 March 2015 were 29, 25, 13, 17, 16 and 18 plus supplementary numbers 26 and 27.

There was another lucky winner in last weekend’s $4,000,000 Saturday Lotto, or Gold Lotto as it is known in Queensland. A man from the Gold Coast suburb of Paradise Point really was in paradise following news of his Division 1 prize worth $473,896.05.

The winner, who has worked as a carer for years, was sitting at the local German Club on the night of the draw, telling his wife to expect a call from lottery officials. Little did he know, his joking remark would come true!

He intends to “fulfil the small dreams” and follow his passion for breeding horses, using his winnings to buy land for a stud farm with his son and their horses. His 12-game Standard ticket was purchased from a local newsagency.

The winning numbers from Saturday Lotto draw 3513 on Saturday 28 March 2015 were 12, 39, 2, 11, 24 and 16  plus supplementary numbers 42 and 43.
