Raining Lotto dollars in Albany

1 min read

A player from the Western Australia town of Albany is one of the two Division One winners in last weekend's Saturday Lotto draw, and has won $2,173,713.77.

While the player wishes to remain anonymous, the place from which the winning ticket was purchased can be revealed as the Dog Rock Newspower in Albany.

Owner of Dog Rock Newspower Robert Campbell said word was getting around town about the big win.

"Things have been pretty tough for the community, especially for the farmers with the lack of rain. But following some much needed rain last week and now a Division One winning Lotto ticket, peoples spirits have really lifted," Mr Campbell said.

"We have owned the outlet almost two years and this is the first Division One ticket we have sold, so we hope this is the start of a winning streak."
