The mother said she was shocked upon learning the results. She checked the ticket shortly after the draw. Initially, she thought the win was $5,000 - a great prize. Even better, it was a prize of nearly $6 million! She admitted it was surreal, but a good way to start the week. 

Incredibly, the winner is sharing the prize with her son, who was with her when she bought the ticket. 

“It’s just perfect. We will be sharing the prize straight down the middle!” 

The duo are now looking to celebrate, having had some time to process the win. The woman shared that the win is life-changing. She looks forward to a career change, studying, and owning her own home.

“I’m going to study something I’m really passionate about and go into a different job.” 

As for her young son, she has no doubt that he will invest it wisely and set up his future.
