Victorian couple didn't know they were missing millionaires

1 min read

A couple from Hamilton, a city in western Victoria, were shocked to find they had been millionaires for ten days without realising! The wife discovered on Tuesday that she was in fact the missing player that lottery officials had been attempting to contact - and that a $2.2 million prize was waiting for her.

"I'm shaking all over," she said after hearing of her Division 1 win in the Valentine's Day $20 million Superdraw. "I never thought that I was the winner." She had heard about the search for the missing winner and claimed she "had a funny feeling over the last week" - and her feeling paid off!

Her husband joked that she could get "anything she wants now" and that he loved her "lots" for bringing them the win. The couple plan to pay off their debts and think about the best way to utilise the multi-million dollar windfall.

There were nine winners in the recent Superdraw, each taking home a Division 1 prize worth $2,222,222.23. There was another winner in Victoria, plus one in Queensland and two each in South Australia, Western Australia and New South Wales.

The winning numbers from TattsLotto Superdraw 3503 were 42, 22, 35, 16, 37 and 24 plus supplementary numbers 36 and 29.
