Two new true blue Lotto millionaires in NSW

A recent Wednesday Lotto draw made two New South Welshmen instant millionaires after their Division 1 winning tickets yielded $1,000,000 each. The first winning ticket - a System 8 entry - was purchased in the Sydney suburb of Hurstville, while the other - a 50-game Quickpick - was purchased in Lake Cargelligo, a tiny town of 1,380 people in the central west region.

The Hurstville man was so shocked to hear the good news that he had to ask lottery officials to repeat the prize amount he had won - a total of $1,005,352.75 over various divisions. He mentioned that he couldn't wait to get home and hug his wife.

"I feel like a headless chook at the moment!" he said excitedly. He went on to explain how he had played the same numbers for decades and could finally enjoy the payoff with "a couple of beers", before getting rid of the mortgage, helping his family out, and "taking a first class holiday."

The Lake Cargelligo winners, a couple, "screamed with delight" after lottery officials confirmed their millionaire status. "Darling, we've won a million dollars!" the wife yelled to her husband, who replied "fair dinkum!"

The wife said they were aware they held a winning ticket, but didn't know they had landed Division 1. "If I'd won $1,000 I would have been happy, but winning $1,000,000 - now that feels terrific!" She explained how their life had been "stressful" and that the win would ease the pressure and allow them to go on a holiday.
